Job descriptionPopulation is 4,840, and is within the greater Iowa Great Lakes year-round population of 10,300, that swells to nearly 100,000 in the summer months with summer residents and tourists Public schools, K-4 elementary, 5-8 middle school, high school Located in the midst of the beautiful Iowa Great Lakes Natural lakes provide excellent fishing, swimming, and boating County-wide recreational trails system for biking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing Other recreational activities include camping, golfing, parks, theater and other cultural opportunities Becker s Healthcare (2022) ranks Iowa No. 6 as the best state for physicians to live and work in!
Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible FM or IM trained physician to join the hospitalist team in NW Iowa.
- Market area 30,000 population
- 49 acute care beds
- 99 bed facility, community-owned
- 15 behavioral health bed unit
- Transitioning to EPIC EMR
- Open ICU, no required procedures
- Rotating schedule of 7 days on, 7 off.
- Shift starts on Monday at 7am and ends the following Monday at 7am.
- Two call shifts 7pm to 7am required during the week that the hospitalist is scheduled, with one occurring during the week and one on the weekend.
- Partnership with eHospitalist team for backup coverage
