Labor Analyst

The Labor Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing our workforce by analyzing labor data, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. This position works collaboratively with various departments to ensure effective labor utilization and support strategic decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for schedule planning and optimization, communication and coordination with operations, data analysis and reporting and system management.
  • Oversee and maintain the scheduling system with an in-depth understanding of the system, actively identifying opportunities to enhance solutions and results.
  • Manage operational and infrastructure questions and issues with scheduling inputs such as skills / certifications / licenses, Business Structure changes, schedule rules, schedule templates and shifts, call lists, etc.
  • Ensure standard configurations are developed and maintained within each operational area.
  • Identify and investigate variances, anomalies, and underlying drivers of labor performance.
  • Ensure timely schedule creation and delivery based on the standards and expectations of the business unit and department leadership.
  • Monitor metrics and KPI's. Provides reports related to scheduling performance to identify trends and efficiency.
  • Develop clear, concise, and well-organized technical documentation to uphold standards and procedures for end users.
  • Provide technical training to end users to ensure standards are understood and adhered to within each operational area.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, and Operations to identify new opportunities and facilitate the rollout of new functionalities.
  • Configure and maintain the volume and labor forecasting, continuously refining the process for optimization and alignment with business needs.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, management information systems or related field is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related career experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Experience managing a centralized scheduling process is preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and / or Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects with goals and deadlines.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
