The Payment Acceptance and Experience (PAE) mission is to build the most trusted, intuitive, and accessible payment experience on earth by providing customers the ability to pay on and off Amazon. PAE Finance manages a complex ecosystem that spans card networks, payment processors, and fintech companies that all Amazon businesses rely on to get paid.
We are looking for a strong Finance manager with the analytical prowess to understand drivers across the payments ecosystem in order to partner with stakeholders across Amazon, including Stores, Entertainment, Advertising, AWS, and Kuiper businesses to plan Cost of Payments, the company’s 4th largest variable expense.
This is a highly visible role within Amazon Payments. The right candidate will be self‑motivated, have considerable financial acumen, and be comfortable operating in ambiguity. The candidate must be able to balance challenging priorities, meet tight deadlines, and provide insights and recommendations through data‑driven analysis.

A day in the life
Depending on planning cycles, the Finance Manager may be working on a variety of items, whether it’s building out models to support annual planning cycles; tracking, reporting, and bridging against cost of payments inputs; working with business partners to assess the long‑term viability of various product initiatives; and / or helping to kick off a new project to support key business objectives.
About the team
Our finance team works closely with the Payments business to manage the cost of payment, negotiate with payment providers, and launch new payment methods that customers prefer.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
