Job Overview :

A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Defense Attorney to join its Employment Law group. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, including handling written discovery, motion work, depositions, and court hearings.   • Duties :

    • Handle employment-related cases, including labor and employment litigation.
    • Manage and prioritize a caseload from discovery through trial.
    • Conduct written discovery, prepare and argue motions, and attend depositions.
    • Represent clients in court hearings and other proceedings.
    • Assist in preparing cases for trial.
    • Collaborate with colleagues and provide strategic advice to clients.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
    • Requirements :

    • Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
    • Experience in written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court hearings.
    • Ability to manage cases and prepare them for trial.
    • Ability to make in-person appearances as needed.
    • Trial experience is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Education :

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Certifications :

    • Admitted to the State Bar of California.
    • Skills :

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Litigation experience in labor and employment matters.
    • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
    • Ability to manage complex caseloads and deadlines effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
