We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Buyer to manage the supply chain process for select commodities and materials critical to our operations
Job Purpose :
Manage the supply chain process for several assigned commodities supporting Greenfield Products and Broderson manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include purchasing and negotiating of direct material, equipment, and services from suppliers. Goal is to efficiently procure and supply the required mix and number of specified materials to the proper place at the required time with minimal total cost. Prioritize the attainment and tracking of total cost savings and cost avoidance based on initiatives deployed to cut and avoid costs. Provide ongoing selection, development, and management of suppliers to drive continuous improvement and provide best in class performance to the company.

Physical and Environmental Elements :
This is primarily an office classification with low / moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions. Occasional short durations of time may be spent in shop floor environment, offsite in various environments, and some travel may be required (less than 15%).
