Candidates must be able to provide couplet care if floated.

Description :

The unit has 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation rooms, 2 OB PACU, and 2 operating rooms.

There are 79 staff members on the unit, including charge nurses and OB techs.

Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients, and 1 RN to 1 patient during certain times.

Typical equipment used includes GE fetal monitoring systems.

EMR systems in use are CPN and Meditech.

Typical procedures performed include non-stress tests, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver.

Candidates who thrive in an organized chaos environment with many patients will find this role fulfilling.

Floating may occur to postpartum / couplets.

Dress code consists of hospital infant security scrubs.

Weekend work may be required as needed.
