Early Settlement Adjuster will be responsible for investigations into a variety of auto accidents to determine liability. This experienced Adjuster will maintain a good working relationship with policy holders while establishing credibility for the company through the quality of work and thoroughness of the investigations; set customer expectations; communicate timelines for investigation and explain applicable laws and coverages. The Adjuster will also take recorded statements; resolve loss of use issues; makes payment to appropriate parties and negotiate settlements and be responsible for the evaluation and settlement of bodily injury claims.
Essential Responsibilities
Interpret personal auto policy language and analyzes liability for the appropriate jurisdictionsDocument a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making processSecure detailed factual recorded statements from insured’s, claimant’s and witnesses.Maintain adequate loss reservesAchieve initial contact standardsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with automotive repair facilities, police authorities and independent appraisal firmsMonitor rental vehicle usageManage diaries in such a manner as to accomplish timely claims resolutionAppropriately recognize and assign claims to the SIUMeet or exceed file quality standardsMaintain confidentiality of claim informationHandle Total Losses to completionExceed customer’s expectationsNegotiate bodily injury claims promptly and effectively through use of Meds Incurred and Open Meds ReleasesRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
College degree preferred, but a High School Diploma is required.Minimum 2 years of experience in handling automobile claims and a demonstrated ability to resolve bodily injury claims quickly and efficiently in prior adjusting rolesAdjuster’s license for KY, SC or TX preferred but not requiredExperience with Injury claimsMust make independent claims handling decisions on assigned claimsCommunicate effectively and professionally in writing, by telephone, or in person.Unwavering business ethics is a mustMust be detail oriented, have good organizational skills and be able to multi-task in order to complete work within the 40-hour work weekConsistent attention to detail and data resolutionStrong ability to reason, negotiate and problem solveMust be able to foster and maintain positive internal and external customer service relationshipsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, keyboarding and data entry skillsBenefits :
