Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of certified home care experience for a float position in a home health setting covering multiple Boston-area neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
Home health position providing care in patients' residencesFloat role covering Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Boston, Cambridge, Charlestown, Chinatown, Fenway, Financial District, Kenmore, North End, Prudential, South Boston, South End, and West EndDay shift schedule from 08 : 00 to 16 : 30Patients range in age from birth to over 100 yearsUse of Epic for charting is requiredTravel required within the geographic service areaProvide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with cognitive and / or physical impairmentsCollaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate careManage technical, environmental, and financial resources to meet patient needsMust have strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skillsFLU vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowedNo validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation and paid parking options onlyLocal candidates must have permanent residence 60 miles from Boston; local pay differentials applyRTO (requested time off) must be disclosed for considerationRequirements
Active Occupational Therapist license in MA required; conditional licenses not acceptedMinimum 1 year of certified home health experienceAt least 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare as an OTRegistered with the Board of Registration in MassachusettsCertifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) onlyAbility to work with diverse populations and handle various computer software and handheld devicesProof of MA licensure required at time of considerationBenefits
