JOB TITLE : Payroll Specialist
POSITION PURPOSE :
The payroll specialist is responsible for processing and maintaining assigned client payroll and employee data in an accurate, timely manner. To achieve this, each payroll specialist must pay attention to detail and provide excellent client service. This position is a non-supervisory position.

Education and Experience :
Proficient experience with personal computer software such as MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Outlook required. Experience using a 10-key / calculator is preferred. Minimum High School Diploma / GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two years customer service experience. Minimum of one year working in office environment.
Skills and Knowledge :
Position requires excellent communication and diplomatic skills, as well as good mathematical and analytical abilities. Position requires ability to organize and prioritize work to insure timely completion of assigned tasks. Concentration ability is required to analyze and solve problems. Attention to detail is a must. Position requires ability to work alone as well as a member of a team.
Working Conditions :
Position works in an office environment. Largely a sedentary role; however some filing and movement is required. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend and stand, as necessary. Little or no travel is required.
Equipment Operated :
Telephone, 10-key / calculator, computer keyboard, printer, copier and fax machine.
