The Director, Demand Planning leads the company's global demand planning function, owning the strategy, systems, and processes that connect customer demand to operational execution. This role is responsible for translating company and commercial goals into scalable planning frameworks that align Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance around a unified forecast.
As a senior leader within the Operations organization, you will shape the long-term vision for planning, drive cross-functional accountability through the S&OP process, and build the infrastructure that enables us to grow efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end demand planning function across all channels (Retail, Wholesale, Amazon, and DTC), ensuring forecasts accurately reflect strategic priorities and market dynamics.
- Develop and own the company's demand planning strategy, frameworks, and tools to improve forecast accuracy and operational alignment.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance leadership to translate commercial goals and promotional plans into actionable demand assumptions.
- Lead and continuously improve the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply and demand and ensure execution against company revenue and inventory targets.
- Anticipate and manage demand risks and opportunities, proactively influencing upstream planning decisions across Supply, Procurement, and Production.
- Design and implement scalable forecasting tools, systems, and performance dashboards to enhance visibility and decision-making across teams.
- Provide strategic insights to senior leadership through data-driven analysis, scenario modeling, and KPI reporting.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the demand planning team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving.
- Champion process improvement, automation, and cross-functional knowledge sharing to support sustainable, scalable growth.
Requirements
810 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning within a CPG or related environment.Proven experience leading a planning function or large strategic initiative with cross-functional visibility.Demonstrated success in building or optimizing S&OP frameworks and connecting forecast accuracy to business outcomes.Strong analytical and systems mindset with experience using ERP and forecasting tools (NetSuite, Anaplan, or similar).Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across departments and seniority levels.Strategic thinker who can balance long-term planning with short-term execution.Experience managing and developing high-performing teams and future leaders.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.A commitment to fostering a culture of support and accountability.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.You are comfortable using data to tell a story and can speak confidently to the metrics of your role.
