Part-Time Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated part-time Staff Accountant to join our Christian non-profit organization in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Responsibilities
- Manage fund accounting processes, including complex project allocations and detailed financial tracking within QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare and oversee payroll processing for a workforce of 450 employees, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform detailed financial reconciliations across accounts to maintain accuracy and organizational stability.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and manage journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and custom formulas to optimize reporting and troubleshoot errors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including non-finance departments, to ensure transparent communication of financial insights.
- Serve as the backup for payroll processing and manage smaller payroll tasks during month-end cycles.
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations, including corporate tax returns and sales tax filings.
- Leverage Paycom tools for payroll processing and reporting to meet organizational and regulatory needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, with a focus on fund or project accounting.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced knowledge of accounting principles.Experience managing payroll for a high-volume workforce, ideally with Paycom payroll software.Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Commitment to Christian values, demonstrated by signing a Statement of Faith aligned with the organization's mission.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
