Department Manager, Electrical Engineering (NY)

Advantage Engineering Associates, PC is seeking a Department Manager to lead our Electrical Engineering team, specializing in Facility Design, as part of our MEP and Communications Design Group. This position is based in our New York City office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and support the design and development of electrical systems for transportation and transit facilities.

Experience working with agencies like PANYNJ and MTA is preferred.

Requirements :

• Experience with building power systems design
• Experience with fire alarm design
• Demonstrate proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD, Proficiency in Revit is preferred
• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code and Fire Alarm codes
• Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks under strict schedule constraints
• The ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Ability to perform research to resolve engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations
• Knowledge of MTA and PANYNJ standards is preferred
• Previous experience leading a team of electrical engineers is preferred

Salary

The salary range for a Department Manager, Electrical Engineer (NY) is $200,000 – $250,000. Compensation will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
