Responsibilities Position is based on a Medical Surgical Oncology floor in a hospital setting Typical patient ratios are 1 : 6 or 1 : 7, experience with higher ratios is required Day shifts are available, commonly 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM) Block scheduling considered Every other weekend (EOW) is required EMR systems used are Cerner and Soarian Royal blue scrubs required (not provided) Patient care responsibilities focus on both general Medical Surgical and Oncology populations Candidates must complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules through HealthStream Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) allowed, especially around holidays Locals live 31-50 miles from the facility and are paid at the local rate; candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible First-time travelers will be considered Royal blue scrubs are the dress code for this unit Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required at time of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Minimum one year of recent Med / Surg experience required Experience with telemetry and IV start required Experience with high patient ratios is necessary Oncology experience is highly preferred Previous travel experience preferred Must provide two professional references for consideration Driver's license and up-to-date Nursys documentation required to verify residence Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641483.
