You would perform a variety of tasks in support of outside plant design for power and telecom companies. Having a basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in the field and you'd need to rely on established guidelines, processes, and procedures to perform the functions of the job. You would be expected to apply experience and knowledge to provide solutions when guidelines will not meet expected outcomes and be able to recommend new and / or improvements to documentation where needed.Initial Travel Expectations : This position does require overnight travel during the week, given your home address is outside of 90 miles. Work areas are to be within the general Northwest Ohio area. Work area may change over time, depending on client needs.As a Field Technician I, your daily life may include : Executing work orders for the fielding of infrastructure while meeting quality, time, and budget constraintsCollecting data by visually identifying, inspecting, and recording equipment and structures in the fieldMapping data collected and applying established fielding guidelines, processes, and proceduresInteracting with customers to perform walkout kickoff / scope meetings and / or to assist in the preparation of bid documentationPerforming research to identify pole ownership, right of way, property rights, and permit requirements for proposedCommunicating with outside parties to obtain right-of-way approvals and easementsProvides guidance to others for specific duties in software, processes, and proceduresProvides quality control reviewOther duties as assignedUpon offer acceptance, newly hired Associates are required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.WHAT WE OFFERWe want our Associates to stay healthy, happy, and secure!
