City / State : Saint Louis, Missouri Categories : Clinical Services and Support Job Status : Part-Time Req ID : 96859 Pay Range : $17.25 $22.33 / hour (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) PT - 24 hours / week - 3 PM - 11 : 30 PM (Shift Schedule, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 3 PM - 11 : 30 PM) then alternating (Sunday, Monday, Friday 3 PM - 11 : 30 PM) Clients / Residents : 15 clients that live in one of the Independence Center Residential Facilities Facility location : Newstead Place - 19 North Newstead, St. Louis, MO. 63108 Preferred skill set : Long-term care experience, First aid / CPR, CMT, Level One medication Aide, CNA, mental health tech Job Responsibilities : Passing medications, working with residents on treatment plan goals, following care plans from nurse and providers, cooking, shift note documentations

Overview

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Franois, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Role Purpose

Responsible for assisting with direct resident care under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Responsibilities

Performs assigned patient care activities and assists nursing team. Observes residents for psychiatric stability, assists residents in meeting their established goals, and coordinates with community support staff and residential services team. Helps residents maintain and improve their housing skills by assisting in meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning. Documents care provided as outlined by clinical supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

Education : High School Diploma or GED Experience :

Education : Associate's Degree Experience : 2-5 years Licenses & Certifications : Certified Nurse Assistant
