The Role

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Nice to Have

Experience or coursework in one or more of the following :

• Control Systems Development
• Networking
• Network Security

Understanding of technical requirements for integrated systems (e.g. distributed control systems with multiple data inputs and end effectors

Understanding of PID control loops in the design of control systems.
