Medical Oncology Opportunity At Rice Memorial Hospital

This opportunity at Rice Memorial Hospital is responsible for the Medical Oncology area in the Cancer Center. Provides operational leadership to support patient and family-centered care model. Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the department. Provides leadership, coordination, direction and support of the department, hospital and CentraCare system goals and objectives. Functions as a role model and supports an environment conducive to positive and collaborative relationships with all internal and external customers. Responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of qualified staff, which may include interviewing, hiring, monitoring performance and addressing corrective action of team members. Conducts mid-year check-ins and performance appraisals for team members focusing on developmental opportunities. Supports, implements patient safety, and other safety practices as appropriate. Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs, participates in professional organizations, subscribing to the reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.

Schedule : Full-time, salaried position working 80 hours per two weeks. Primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours.

Pay and Benefits : Starting salary begins at $92,934 annually. Full pay range $92,934 to $139,505. Full-time benefits : Medical, dental, PTO, retirement, employee discounts and more!

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Registered Nurse (RN) current licensure to practice in the State of Minnesota required. Oncology Certified Nurse at time of hire or must be obtained within 2 years of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) current American Heart Association (AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card required. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with nursing expertise in the area of Medical Oncology. Progressive leadership experience. Possesses verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients / families, and community resources. Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, leading and engaging staff towards positive change preferred. CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
