Key Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant :

Support clinicians and doctors during routine appointments and minor medical procedures.

Accurately record patient history, vital signs, and clinical observations.

Prepare and organize exam rooms, ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use.

Administer authorized medications or injections under supervision, as permitted by law.

Coordinate all patient scheduling and manage follow-up communication for care.

Provide patients with clear instructions regarding their medications, ongoing treatments, and aftercare as directed by the provider.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant :

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation is highly beneficial.

Superior organizational skills coupled with an unwavering commitment to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication proficiencies.

Proficiency in medical terminology and hands-on experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Reliable transportation to East Greenwich, with the possibility of occasional travel to the Providence location.
