Expect to handle 5-8 on-call slots and 1-2 weekend shifts every 8 weeks, with a requirement to arrive within 30-minutes when on call.

Major Responsibilities :
Ensure a clean and safe environment conducive to optimal patient care, utilizing aseptic techniques in preparing materials, supplies, and equipment.Maintain expertise in various surgical procedures and remain ready to assist with all types of surgeries.Set up operating rooms by providing necessary equipment, ensuring environmental safety and efficiency.Act as a Second Assistant when required, ready to respond to the needs of the surgical team.Transport patients and manage the necessary supplies and equipment.Maintain specialty carts to ensure availability and completeness of surgical items.Exhibit proper techniques for patient positioning and transport.Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for age-appropriate care, addressing the unique needs of patients.Licensure and Education Requirements :
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 6 months unless waived by the department leader.A completion certificate from an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.Experience : No prior experience is necessary.
Skills and Abilities :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.Commitment to ongoing educational requirements for certifications.Physical Requirements :
