Job Description
The Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa is seeking a full-time, Pediatric Nocturnist hospital physician. This positions will be assigned to work overnight shifts and is required to take call. The position is primarily clinical with involvement in the residency teaching program. Duties include in-house patient care based at St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Tampa, FL. There is an opportunity for participation in the quality program and other educational and hospital-based leadership opportunities with the ability to strengthen your clinical assessment without the requirement of hospital fellowship training. St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is a tertiary care, 120-bed (including PICU & PCIU) hospital located in the heart of in Tampa. The hospitalist program is staffed by approximately 5 FTE daily and cares for routine and medically complex children. A Florida medical license will be required prior to assuming the position. The appointment is non-tenure earning and the salary is negotiable.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direct medical care to patients in a hospital or medical clinic. Typically reports to the head of a medical department. Typical duties include the diagnosis, treatment, operation, or prescription for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity, or other physical or mental condition.
