Job description

Position : Multi-Disciplined Engineer II / Controls Engineer , Req# : CRNGJP00028752

Location : Newton, NC (100% Onsite)

Duration : 12+  Months Contract (potential to extend)

Work schedule :

Monday through Friday, 8-5, but can be slightly flexible with the exact hours.

Job Description :

Provide 2nd level technical expertise in PLC controls-based troubleshooting, Controls hardware, and wiring specifically in support of new production line installation. Follow the direction from a Sr Controls Engineer. Enhance manufacturing capabilities through the implementation of new ideas and methods. Independently execute project objectives to fulfill overall project goals and milestones.

Education required :

  • Desired AAS or Higher. 3 additional years of experience can be considered instead of formal education (for a total of 10).
  • 4+ Years working with PLCs-Allen Bradley, Rockwell preferred HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC : 4 years
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems and structured programming
  • Knowledge of controls systems design, hardware, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written & oral communications skills
  • Actively participate in all phases of projects including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and technology transfer.
  • The individual must be capable of executing project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
