Material Planner and Scheduler
Our Material Planner and Scheduler plays a vital role within our organization. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include planning and preparing material and production schedules for the Quva manufacturing department. This position will also work closely with the production team and internal departments to support scheduling of orders and service for scheduled customer commitments; demand planning, sourcing, purchasing, incoming quality and warehouse to ensure the timely order, receipt, and availability of materials required to support firm weekly schedule for kitting, filling, labeling and packaging. This is a hands-on position responsible for materials planning and tactical weekly schedules that will enable the production facility on-time execution of demand plan as well as issue resolution and troubleshooting events that may present risks or prohibit the timely execution of the production schedule. The material planner / scheduler collaborates with other members of the supply chain including procurement, production, quality, warehouse and logistics as well as finance, IT and Pharmacy Services. What the Material Planner and Scheduler Does Each Day :
- Supports the VP / GM by providing hands-on assistance to each production facility in executing material planning and scheduling such that performance to plan is realized reliably and consistently within operational and cost effectiveness
- With oversight, prepares tactical material plan for replenishment and supply of components used in production
- Makes recommendations regarding scheduling and material planning processes to reduce waste, lead times and total cost
- Analyzes material inventory in terms of days of supply, cost, shelf life and storage space
- Confers with management, which includes maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for material planning and inventory management processes and systems
- Communicates with production sites, purchasing and finance material requirements and subsequent impact on inventory
- Assembles and analyzes data pertinent to inventory management, material planning and ERP system transactional accuracy
- Establishes and utilizes best practices for material planning and inventory management to ensure production schedules are achieved, that production schedules align with demand plan and that exception messages from ERP system reviewed and acted up in timely manner
- Recommends adjustments to schedule and / or alternative material usage to facilitate reliable and consistent production flow
- Publishes schedules to facilitate alignment of resources at production facilities for material receipt, incoming release, kitting, filling, visual inspection, labeling and packaging
- Provides subject matter expertise for inventory transactions and process flow within the ERP system
- Measures results from implemented processes and procedure associated with inventory management and material planning

4-year college degree (Business, engineering, supply chain management or related field) or equivalent experienceProficiency with excel spreadsheets and materials planning software logicStrong oral and written communication skills1 to 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, production scheduling or equivalent experience with start-up manufacturing operationsExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as INFOR, SAP, JD Edwards, QAD, etc. or equivalency with relational databases and deductive reasoningStrong knowledge of material planning and production planning processes within pharmaceutical industry or related field or equivalent experience with bills of material, relational hierarchies, process flows and inventory managementKnowledge of material planning and scheduling tools and processesStrong analytical skills with abilities to apply outcomes if analysesFamiliarity with basic material planning, production scheduling and inventory management performance metricsFundamental understanding of high performing work teams and entrepreneurial based work systemsFamiliarity with change management and root cause investigations18+ years of ageAble to successfully complete a drug and background checkMust be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visasAny of the Following Will Give You an Edge :
