• Job Description :
• We are an outpatient treatment program providing comprehensive care to individuals with substance use disorders, utilizing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) modalities aligned with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria in treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring illnesses.
• We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is committed to providing high quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and well being.

Key responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients with substance use disorders, including physical examinations, history taking and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, including medication management and behavioral interventions.
• Prescribe and manage medications used for treatment of substance use disorders, including those for initial induction, maintenance therapy to include buprenorphine or naloxone (we do not administer or prescribe methadone) and co-occurring illnesses.
• Provide counseling and support to patients about substance use disorders, address co-occurring illnesses, treatment options and strategies for recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, psychiatrist, probation officers, judicial system and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements including those related to controlled substances. Ensure that all practices align with best practices and organizational policies.
• Utilization of Practice Fusion for electronic medical records
• Qualifications :
• Current Commonwealth of Virginia license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Current DEA Certification
• Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations while practicing ASAM standard
• New graduates welcome

Job Type : Part-time

Pay : $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours : 24 per week
