Overview

We are searching for a Production Superintendent to support a lumber facility in Magnolia / McCombs, MS. This person will be responsible for the safe coordination and oversight of the daily activities in the mill, kilns, and shipping departments, including interfacing with the sales teams. You will embody safety and demonstrate excellent team skills with a proven ability to lead and develop people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hiring, planning, scheduling, and daily supervision of shift supervisors and hourly production staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing development.
• Lead departmental safety programs and training to ensure a safe working environment.
• Drive and sustain department performance in line with goals for safety, quality, waste reduction, housekeeping, and process reliability.
• Provide leadership for continuous improvement efforts, team meetings, and safety initiatives.
• Lead proactive problem-solving to address operational issues before they escalate.
• Ensure production reporting is accurate, timely, and consistent.
