JOB SUMMARY :
As the Regional Sales Director - Acute Care East , you will lead a dynamic sales team and help the organization surpass our growth goals. The right candidate is responsible for building and leading a world class sales team, implementing technology and processes, and partnering with the account management, customer success, marketing, product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver the best possible customer experience. The right candidate is truly passionate about patient care and has a proven track record of successfully leading in the patient care, medical device industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement sales objectives that will achieve or exceed the sales plan for assigned products.
- Develops, trains, manages, and coaches direct reports to meet company sales objectives while maintaining accepted profitability.
- Encourages direct reports to develop strong customer relationships and continually improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Works with territory managers to develop territory action plans based on strategic analysis of the various business environments.
- Generates revenue by developing existing markets through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.
- Responsible for all regional business management functions including CRM, weekly coaching calls, forecasting, resources management, strategic account management, pricing, team building, and regional business plans.
- Responsible for the influence, coordination, and corporate response to RFPs within the region; including early seeding, provision of specifications, and pre-RFP product demonstrations and trials.
- Responsible for the regional reporting of the customer experience and any quality issues.
- Identify, support, and help organize regional trade shows and educational opportunities.
- Guide team in the preparation of detailed customer proposals reflecting a comprehensive and systematic approach to providing customized solutions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for proper execution of compliance, training, and regulatory duties.
- Full understanding of competition and the Acute Care Environment.
- Liaison with field service, clinical marketing, product management, quality, customer service, installation, and shipping departments to support our customers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage, coach and train territory managers.In coordination with the human resources department, recruit, hire and train new territory managers.Assess staffing needs and perform some recruiting duties.Administer and present annual performance review with clear expectations for territory managers and review throughout the year.Performs monthly approval and consistent monitoring of business expenses.Train, direct and appraise staff.Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments.COMPETENCIES :
Ability to lead, develop, and motivate othersAbility to close large capital sales.Ability to organize selling activities in a productive way over a broad geographical area to a variety of decision-makers, including the executive level, through middle-management and nursing clinicians.Strategic Selling and Strategic Account Management skillsExperience completing large RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication techniques.Up to date product knowledge and market knowledge.Team player, able to work closely and effectively with key internal resources.Knowledge of principles of accident / injury loss prevention and risk management.Windows; MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce.com CRMAbility to read, analyze and interpret documents.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Excellent presentation skills for small and larger groups.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.BEHAVIORS :

Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing, science, or kinesiology. MBA preferred.3–5 years sales management / leadership experience.10 years’ minimum sales experience with demonstrated high performance.Experience with capital equipment sales, preferably in the healthcare industryCOMPUTER SKILLS :
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC and Outlook is required.WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger motion, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Some heavy lifting may be involved.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
TRAVEL :
This position may travel up to 50% of the time.
