LifeSet Specialist

Youth Villages is a non-profit organization helping youth, young people, and their families across the United States who face a wide range of emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges.

Our LifeSet program is an intensive, community-based program that acts as a bridge from foster care to successful adulthood for young people. It provides knowledge to utilize all available community resources and helps young adults become self-sufficient.

Position Overview

As a LifeSet Specialist, you will work with 17-23 year old young adults to support their transition to adulthood. Your role will include weekly sessions, monthly case management, crisis support, and participation in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry an average caseload of 9-12 young adults, including LifeSet (weekly sessions) and EFC (monthly sessions).
• Meet with each young adult at least once per week, adjusting frequency as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Provide on-call crisis support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (alternating on-call duties).
• Communicate effectively with the Clinical Supervisor in crisis situations.
• Implement interventions and treatment plan cycles in a timely manner.
• Participate weekly in all supervision exercises to ensure appropriate conceptualization and implementation of treatment.
• Provide all therapeutic services in accordance with Youth Villages' Mission, Values, and LifeSet Model Principles.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of the young adult's needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective.
• Engage and align with the young adult and their support system to elicit full participation in treatment.
• Attend court hearings and foster care review boards with EFC young adults.

Requirements

A Master's degree in a social services discipline is strongly preferred, while a Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required. One year of related experience in counseling and / or case management is required. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, basic computer knowledge, and flexibility with schedule are also necessary.

Pay

Base pay range : $52,000  /  yr – $60,000  /  yr (based on education and clinical license).
