Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities
Alarm Monitoring & ResolutionReview and respond to approximately 300 facility-related alarm notifications (including differential pressure, temperature, humidity, and other critical parameters)Diagnose and troubleshoot root causes of alarms, coordinate repairs, and verify return to normal conditionsMaintain accurate records of alarm responses, actions taken, and outcomesInstrument Calibration & MaintenanceManage the maintenance schedule for all calibrated instruments and equipment using the Blue Mountain CMMSCoordinate calibrations, preventative maintenance, and repairs with internal teams and vendorsEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO)Continuous ImprovementIdentify recurring issues or inefficiencies in alarm handling, maintenance, or calibrationRecommend and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and documentation enhancementsAssist in developing SOPs and training materials for alarm response and maintenance proceduresCross-Functional SupportCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to address facility-related issuesRequirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Facilities Management, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience may be considered5+ years of experience in facilities monitoring, equipment maintenance, or calibration within a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing)Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulatory compliance frameworksExperience using CMMS platforms (e.g., Blue Mountain or similar systems) for scheduling and documentationTechnical Skills
Strong understanding of environmental control systems, including HVAC, differential pressure, temperature, and humidity monitoringKnowledge of instrument calibration and preventative maintenance practicesAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot facility-related alarms and equipment malfunctionsProficiency in documenting maintenance and alarm response actions in compliance with quality standardsAnalytical & Problem-Solving
Proven ability to analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective / preventative actionsStrong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical data and sensor readingsCommunication & Collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and interacting with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Operations, and external vendorsContinuous Improvement
