Responsibilities
- The University of South Alabama Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine is seeking a talented and motivated academic joint replacement surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to become a member of our rapidly growing clinical practice.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, clinical practice, and conducting innovative research in joint disorders, including but not limited to arthroplasty, joint preservation, and minimally invasive techniques.
- This position will also involve mentorship of medical students and residents, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in departmental and interdisciplinary teams.
- Leadership positions are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Candidate must be eligible for Alabama medical licensure.Completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.Fellowship training in Joint Surgery or a related subspecialty is preferred.Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to teaching and education in an academic setting.Benefits
