About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong legal background to join our growing Legal Innovation team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who can navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks while leveraging data analytics to evaluate and enhance AI-generated responses in claims processing.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, auditing, and validating AI-assisted decision-making in insurance claims, ensuring legal compliance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate AI-generated responses and recommendations in insurance claims, especially those with legal implications.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Legal, Data Science, Claims, Compliance) to ensure alignment with regulatory and policy frameworks.
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics and audit protocols for claims processed through AI platforms.
- Assist in training AI models by identifying legal context, edge cases, and appropriate data tagging.
- Interpret large datasets related to claims, litigation, coverage, and settlement trends to identify risk patterns and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to review AI decisions against evolving insurance laws, consumer protection, and privacy regulations.
- Generate actionable reports and dashboards for legal and business stakeholders.
- Support the ethical implementation of AI, ensuring transparency, fairness, and explainability in decisions.
- Stay up to date with legal trends in AI, data privacy, insurance claims, and digital transformation.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field; additional certification or coursework in Data Analytics or Statistics.2+ years of experience in data analysis, legal operations, or insurance claims.Strong understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks, claims processes, and legal documentation.Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI / Tableau.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into legal / business context.Completion of our pre-employment assessment : https : / / www.ondemandassessment.com / o / JB - 87PS9BLTA / landing?u=1197194Preferred :
Experience working with or auditing AI / ML models in a legal or insurance setting.Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy laws.Familiarity with insurance claims management systems or legal tech platforms.Experience in automated decision-making or explainable AI (XAI) is a plus.What We Offer :
