A leading aerospace and defense supplier is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across molding, assembly, and production control departments. This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for 60–150 employees and full operational oversight within a key business unit. What You’ll Do

Lead and direct daily manufacturing operations, ensuring on-time delivery, productivity, and quality goals are met

Oversee production planning, scheduling, inventory accuracy, cost controls, and capital equipment utilization

Drive lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) to improve efficiency and reduce waste

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, inspection, and engineering teams to ensure optimal production output

Manage and mentor a large team including supervisors and support staff

Own performance metrics around safety, quality, throughput, cost, and customer satisfaction

Proactively address production issues, safety concerns, and team development needs

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace / defense strongly preferred)

Proven background in lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and process optimization

ERP system fluency; strong understanding of ISO / AS9100 standards

Ability to lead large teams, inspire accountability, and drive cultural and operational improvements

Strong communication, coaching, and cross-functional leadership skills

Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
