Endoscopy Center Tech

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Essential Duties :

Maintains cleaning processes for scopes and the cleaning, disinfecting and storage areas on a daily basis.

Assists in preparing procedure areas.

Provides assistance, within scope of licensure / certification, to a licensed health care practitioner with patient care during endoscopy procedures.

Performs routine maintenance of scopes and endoscopic equipment.

Participates in infection control studies.

Job Requirements

Education / Experience :

Either : 1) completion of a gastroenterology or endoscopy technician training program, OR 2) 1 year of related experience in a health care setting with completion of a Medical Assistant, Operating Room Tech or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.

License / Certification :

• Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor with a 5 year registration through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution; OR
• Current Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Surgical Technologist or Medical Assistant through the State of Washington.
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification.

Pay Range

$24.15 - $34.12 / hour
