Corporate Payroll Manager

BandB Theatres is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Payroll Manager to join our team at the Liberty, MO Corporate Office. This position is a critical role responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,500 associates. What You'll Be Doing : Core Responsibilities As our Payroll Manager, you'll ensure seamless payroll operations and compliance. Key responsibilities include :
- Processing Payroll : Accurately and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,500 associates. This involves reviewing, reconciling, and submitting payroll, including all necessary amounts, rates, codes, and warnings.
- Data Integrity and Reconciliation : Gathering and examining timesheets and tips reports for accuracy, communicating with location managers for error corrections, and tracking minimum wage make-ups.
- Compliance and Reporting : Ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws and tax obligations. You'll prepare critical compliance reports for annual Workers Comp and quarterly Wages for the Department of Labor.
- Adjustments and Queries : Making necessary adjustments for raises, bonuses, and approved Paid Time Off. You will also address employee queries about payroll-related issues and resolve or escalate payment discrepancies with urgency.
- Tax Documents and W-2s : Overseeing the distribution of 1095s every February and the printing / mailing of W2s every January.
What You'll Bring : Requirements and Skills We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with proven payroll expertise :
Education and Experience : A bachelor's degree in human resources, business Administration, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required. A minimum of five years of hands-on payroll processing experience using payroll software is required. Multi-state payroll experience is required. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.Essential Skills : Exceptional math skills and an affinity for numbers and details. In-depth knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws. Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including Outlook, TEAMS, and Excel. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to track numerous ongoing tasks.
