What You Will Do :

Guidehouse is seeking a data scientist to support client engagements through data analysis, visualization, prototyping, dashboarding and insight development. The analytic support will be focused on describing epidemiolog ic patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations. This role involves informing epidemiologic study design, analyzing , and interpreting health data to inform decision making , disease prevention strategies, and policy development.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Power BI and other analytics tools (Python, R, SQL ), familiarity with healthcare (CMS, EHR) and / or public health data , and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data Scientists at Guidehouse work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, support client deliverables, and contribute to high-impact solutions across public and commercial sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions
• Analyze structured and semi-structured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Collaborate with clients to d esign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support client decision-making
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity
• Support client presentations and deliverables by clearly communicating analytical findings
• Collaborate with project teams, leadership, and client stakeholders to support project objectives
• Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, and processes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics and reporting practices

The annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00-$148,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
