Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location : Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel nursing Unit : Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) – Cardiac Stepdown Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 30am – 7 : 00pm) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 29 / 2025 – End : 3 / 29 / 2026) Patient Population : Adults (18) Unit Size : 64 beds, including 15 neuro specialty beds Estimated Weekly Salary : $2180-$2240 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU / PCU (Intermediate / Progressive Care Unit) nursing experience Previous travel nurse experience required Active New York RN license (verified via NURSYS) Current certifications : AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Proficiency with EPIC EMR Skills checklist for cardiac stepdown nursing specialty 2 recent IMCU Charge / Manager RN references Valid driver’s license with matching address Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Required to wear navy blue scrubs Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op) Monitor and manage specialty equipment : temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo Care for patients on chronic ventilators (with respiratory therapy support) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Float to other units to support patient care needs Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC EMR Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Utica, NY and make a difference in patient care while exploring all that Central New York nursing jobs have to offer!
