Overview / Responsibilities

IDR is seeking a Technical Writer to join one of our top clients in Jackson, MS . This role involves crafting clear and user-friendly documentation to support system modernization efforts for public sector programs. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, process flows, and training materials.
Translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure material accuracy.
Edit, proofread, and standardize documentation to meet program templates and state standards.
Support the creation of stakeholder communication materials and presentations.

Required Skills

5-8 years of professional experience in technical writing.

Proven ability to produce clear and accurate technical content.

Experience with large-scale IT, government, or consulting projects, with a preference for public sector experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with tools like Visio, SharePoint, or Adobe Acrobat is advantageous.

Strong collaboration, interviewing, and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is .
