About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Global Commercial ESG Engagement, you will lead the development and execution of Boston Scientific's global strategy to engage customers, sales teams, and commercial partners on ESG and sustainability. Acting as a strategic bridge between Commercial and ESG functions, this role ensures that assurance-ready ESG data is consistently transformed into clear commercial value propositions and customer-facing materials. You will play a pivotal role in enabling Boston Scientific to succeed in ESG-sensitive tenders, strengthen payer relationships, and drive revenue and market differentiation through sustainability leadership.

Work Model, Sponsorship, Relocation

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

Commercial ESG Strategy and Enablement

Lead the global strategy for customer and commercial engagement on ESG

Align enterprise sustainability priorities with evolving market and procurement trends

Translate ESG initiatives (e.g., Scope 3 reduction, LCA, health equity) into commercial value propositions

Customer and Tender Support

Oversee ESG content development for tenders, RFPs, and strategic customer engagements

Maintain a centralized repository of validated, assurance-ready ESG data

Ensure alignment with corporate disclosures and global regulatory requirements

Sales Training and Market Readiness

Equip global and regional sales teams with ESG tools, playbooks, and training materials

Develop awareness resources and FAQs to integrate ESG into commercial conversations

Data and Business Value Measurement

Partner with Finance and Commercial Operations to quantify the impact of ESG integration

Track and report ESG-influenced metrics such as tender wins, cost savings, and revenue growth

Ensure data is integrated into dashboards and enterprise performance reviews

Messaging and Content Development

Collaborate with Corporate Responsibility Communications and Marketing to create compelling, customer-facing ESG narratives

Develop materials and case studies grounded in verified data and aligned with brand standards

Cross-Functional and Regional Integration

Act as the enterprise connector across ESG, Product Stewardship, R&D, Operations, and regional commercial teams

Enable consistent data translation and message alignment across business functions

Create systems for sharing validated ESG evidence across both tender and disclosure channels

Market and Regulatory Intelligence

Monitor global ESG procurement frameworks, scoring systems, and competitor positioning

Provide insights to guide commercial strategy, product differentiation, and regional preparedness

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, public health, or a related field

Minimum of 10 years' experience in sustainability, ESG, healthcare procurement, or commercial roles

Proven ability to translate ESG initiatives into commercially relevant messaging

Strong understanding of ESG business value drivers (e.g., revenue growth, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, procurement advantage)

Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and influence across global teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing customer-facing ESG content

Knowledge of ESG regulatory frameworks and healthcare procurement standards (e.g., CSRD, NHS Net Zero, French BEGES, California climate regulations)

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MS in Sustainability or Environmental Management)

Experience in a global commercial or strategic marketing role within medtech or healthcare sectors

Familiarity with ESG scoring methodologies and sustainability reporting standards
