Requirements of position
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and state / federal regulations.
- Process weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time
- Maintain and update employee payroll information in the system
- Verify timecards, hours worked, and deductions
- Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, and reimbursements
- Generate payroll reports and maintain payroll records
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, or taxes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Assist with year-end reporting, W-2s, and audits
Responsibilities of position
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Clerk, or similar roleStrong knowledge of payroll practices, taxes, and labor lawsExperience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entryExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredThe JobSquad Solutions Team is made up of experts around the country.
