Job Title : Shipping Associate Department : Shipping

Manager : Shipping Supervisor

Direct Reports : None

Other key team / positions : Production and Support Teams

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure food safety, quality and legality.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
  • Handle pallets, boxes, labels and required equipment properly
  • clean, maintain and organize the required equipment, area and trailers properly
  • Scan and prepare product for shipment
  • Responsible for freezer maintenance
  • Palletize product from production and outside sources
  • Operate tractor and yard dog and all material-handling equipment
  • Assist in other departmental areas as needed

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day; free use of hands and free range of arm movement; ability to bend repeatedly at the waist for 8-10 hours per day; ability to safely walk to and in the plant; ability to properly wear personal protective equipment, sanitary equipment, and any other equipment necessary for certain departments; ability to work in all weather conditions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in cold temperatures (usually 0-45 degrees Ferienheit)
