Key responsibilities include operation of AUV in complex working environments/conditions including commercial and military vessels, troubleshooting/maintenance/repair of electrical, mechanical, and software sensors/systems/subsystems associated with the AUV, working directly with Customers to provide on-site support as a subject matter expert (SME) for hands-on / on-site training, acceptance testing, troubleshooting/maintenance/repair, risk mitigation, and supporting overall program/project objectives./ppEssential functions include:/pulliSupport deck operations, including small boat handling, line handling, and operating Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) from RHIBs and naval vessels./liliPerform mechanical assembly/disassembly of AUV modules and seal integrity checks./liliPlanning and validating basic to complex mission planning flight behaviors/liliProvide technical assistance outside normal business hours via phone/email/remote desktop sessions/liliMaintaining and developing AUV product documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)/liliDevelop and verify customer specifications, conduct operator training, and actively participate as an L3Harris AUV System field service representative during demonstrations and field exercises with existing and potential new customers./liliField exercises may be for up to 6 weeks./liliInterface with customers on behalf of L3Harris AUV Systems Engineering and Program Management teams./liliAbility to travel (US and International) approximately: 60%./li/ulpQualifications include:/pulliBachelors Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, OR (Preferred) 8+ years of technical experience in a relevant field (US Navy ET, ST, MN, EM ratings or commercial maritime electronics). Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience./liliActive SECRET clearance required./liliMust be physically able to work on swaying vessel decks, in confined spaces, and lift 50 lbs./liliExperience with software communication and networking protocols, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams layouts, and mechanical drawing understanding./liliDemonstrated basic seamanship skills (knot tying, line handling, deck safety) and ability to maintain situational awareness on active vessel decks./li/ulpPreferred additional skills include:/pulliUS Navy background or experience working as a defense contractor alongside military personnel./liliCommercial maritime experience (deckhand, mate, or technician)./liliIPC-610/620 Soldering or Cabling certifications./li/ulpIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500 - $141,500.
