Position Summary :

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations and support core HR functions. This role ensures employees are paid accurately and on time while helping maintain smooth HR processes behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

  • Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations.
  • Verify timecards, deductions, commissions, bonuses, and adjustments for accuracy.
  • Maintain payroll records and handle inquiries related to pay, taxes, or deductions.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports including tax filings, benefit deductions, and wage verifications.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and HR to ensure correct GL coding and reconciliations.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.

HR Support

  • Enter new hires, terminations, and employee changes into the HRIS / payroll system.
  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and billing audits.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Help prepare reports for HR metrics, compliance audits, and management requests.
  • Support employee onboarding, engagement and recognition initiatives as needed.
  • Contribute to other talent enablement functions and HR projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience; multi-state payroll preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as onboarding, benefits, and compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
