The Lead Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA ) focuses on coordinating and overseeing laboratory sample processing while providing leadership and support for the Medical Laboratory Assistants and Phlebotomists. They also function as a phlebotomist. In addition to blood collection, they will process blood and other body fluid samples, perform quality control, operate laboratory equipment and perform waived laboratory tests.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have Medical Laboratory Assistant or Specimen processing experience
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to follow precise procedures, have good communication and multi-tasking skills
- One year of medical laboratory assistant experience, preferred
