2nd Shift : 3pm - 11pm

SUMMARY :

Under minimal supervision, setup Vertical, Horizontal and Mill Turn CNC machines to perform one or more functions on metal work pieces satisfactorily to meet production goals; maintain quality and safety standards; record keeping; maintaining equipment and supplies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to) :

• Ability to read blueprints and part drawings utilizing GD&T.
• Proficiency in G code and M code. Experience with Macros.
• Ability to set up and operate mills, lathes and multi axes CNC machines. Ability to set correct tool and work offsets and fixture alignments.
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments to verify part tolerances.
• Assist in developing processes to machine part to completion including documentation of process.
• Leads the operation of the production floor during a set shift. Communicates with previous and following shifts.
• Adheres to AS9100 quality practices and ensures all finished goods, WIP, scrap and raw material is identified and labeled correctly.
• Experience with training operators on standard machine practices
• Confers with engineers to prevent and resolve machining and or assembly problems.
• Knowledge of properties of metal and other materials
• Advanced mathematic skills.
• Effective leadership and management skills
• If necessary informs purchasing of out of stock or low inventory of tooling.
• Maintain a consistent volume of output with minimal non-conformances. Applies Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Properly completes production and quality documents; utilizes and understands production software to communicate actions and irregularities.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Adheres to Six Sigma practices and maintains an organized and clean work area.
• When possible diagnose machining problems and handles minor machine repair.
