As a Communication Support Intern, you will have a critical role in the implementing of strategic communication initiatives to strengthen the organization's brand presence and stakeholder engagement. This role involves developing compelling content across various platforms, conducting surveys and compiling data, and managing schedules and logistics to ensure smooth coordination. You will support cross-functional team efforts to deliver key messages effectively and consistently. Additional responsibilities include assisting with special projects and ensuring clear, organized communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

  • Support strategic communications, content development, and branding initiatives.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including maintaining files, managing schedules, updating databases, and supporting committees.
  • Assist in coordinating workshops, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Respond to inquiries, provide information on established policies and procedures, and maintain organized records.
  • Manage CRM systems, and assist with data collection and analysis.
  • Ensure that effective communication with partners, stakeholders, and team members is distributed.
  • Travel within a 12-county region as needed.

Requirements :

  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2 years of administrative or communications experience, preferably with public interaction.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Publisher, and social media / website platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and content management tools preferred.
  • If you are selected to fill the role for the Intern, you will need to present a valid North Carolina Driver's License, pass the pre-employment drug screen and background screening process. Travel throughout 12-county region is required. Other travel may be required on occasion. This is a temporary, part-time position but duration of internship is flexible.

    Salary Range

    Salary is $18.75 per hour. Generally 20 hours per week and not to exceed 1,000 hours annually. FICA and EAP services only.
