The Fire Alarm Systems Programmer will directly oversee all duties and tasks of this functional discipline. As the Fire Alarm Systems Programmer , you will report directly to the General Manager of Director of Alarm, Sprinkler, and Special Hazards, and oversee the discipline and functions relative the daily duties associated with this role. You will be directly responsible for the execution of all Fire Alarm system tasks, in accordance with those detailed below and corresponding regulatory Code(s) and Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software / systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Ability to program or proven experience in programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, CCTV, and clocks.
• Consistently apply specific skills and relevant Fire Alarm system knowledge including underlying professional / technical principles or standards.
• Play an integral role in Fire Alarm project execution, including the coordination of equipment delivery and interface with other trades to successfully complete projects in order to exceed Customer and Company expectations
• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other relevant building system(s) at customer sites.
• Adhere to method-of-procedure(s) required to troubleshoot systems in accordance with technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers’ Fire Alarm systems, as required to meet Customer and Company expectations.
• Ability to understand specific Scope of Work requirements as outlined by Contractors and Customers, to uphold RFI needs and make potential recommendations
• Perform and / or support the installation of fire related and / or other building systems products.
