Construction Estimator – Commercial / Aviation Projects (Houston, TX)

📍 Location : North Houston (On-site, national project scope)

💰 Compensation : $105K – $145K (varies from experience) + Bonus + Benefits

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join a Houston-based team with a strong pipeline of commercial and aviation projects. This position plays a key role in preparing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting preconstruction efforts for projects ranging from aviation hangars to tilt-wall commercial facilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates for commercial and aviation projects.
  • Analyze drawings / specs to develop labor, material, and cost breakdowns.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids; ensure complete scope coverage.
  • Support design / preconstruction teams with value-engineering and constructability solutions.
  • Help build and maintain a subcontractor / vendor network across multiple markets.
  • Conduct occasional travel (1–2x / month) to strengthen partner relationships.

    • What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of CSI divisions (site, structural, MEP, finishes).
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Excel , and estimating software (Sage, WinEst, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, follow-through, and ability to take ownership of work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required).
