Logistics Project Manager
Responsible for developing, budgeting and execution of logistics major, minor, and strategic capital projects. Direct / lead network strategy project managers, engineers, and analysts. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accountability for on-time overall project implementation, within budgeted expense, and achieving planned benefit streams
- Direct the Project Management function for the network by analyzing data, standardizing processes, developing and evolving a world-class Project Management program
- Manage the engineering administration on logistics major and minor capital projects including new facilities, expansion remodels, within-the-walls remodels and maintenance projects including site due diligence for feasibility
- Communicate / coordinate across multiple functions : retail operations, technology, merchandising, procurement, supply chain operations, finance, and executive management
- Manage the development and execution of projects at optimal cost, highest quality, and punctual timelines, consistent with logistics, store operations, and business needs
- Ensure engineering solutions, designs, and layouts meet requirements for safety, cost, time, quality and throughput expectations
- Ensure that proper documentation occurs throughout the projects
- Identify and develop strategic initiatives and capital projects that enhance supply chain processes to meet growth, performance, and customer service objectives
- Recruit, train, and develop high-potential team members as leaders of overall business strategy and objectives
- Maintain and manage a strong effective team for accomplishing all assigned tasks in an efficient manner; complete performance objective reviews and provide continuous feedback to direct reports
- Maintain a continuous self-development program to learn more about the business, innovations in the industry, and prepare for greater responsibility
- Travel to DCs, project sites, and other Kroger network locations for project development and execution
