Job Description :
Project Engineer II is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing project engineering and project management tasks on construction and capital projects. This role supports coordinating design, technical disciplines, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. This position is intended to build broader project management capability and may serve as the project engineer on small to medium-sized projects or a segment of a larger project.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor project progress, prepare and maintain project documentation, and support issue identification and resolution
- Coordinate efforts among engineering disciplines, vendors, and licensors to deliver integrated and compliant designs
- Review and coordinate project staffing requirements with functional leads and subcontractors
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, plans, milestones, and reporting
- Support cost tracking, budgeting, effort-hour monitoring, and variance analysis against plans
- Assist in preparation and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
- Support risk assessments, quality initiatives, safety expectations, and company performance standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or global equivalent)10 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent capabilityAbility to clearly communicate with internal teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholdersWorking knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, engineering practices, and industry standardsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple prioritiesAbility to travel and work onsite as requiredDiscipline-Specific Expectations :
