Lead Mammography Tech

Job Summary :

• Leads in areas of responsibility within the rules and regulations of State and Federal agencies.
• Assists in planning, organizing, staffing and evaluation.
• Shares responsibility for the development, interpretation, application and implementation of departmental policies, budget and strategic plans.
• Achieves departmental / organizational objectives and improvement opportunities by providing quality diagnostic services.
• Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
• Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed .
• Maintains staff scheduling for services offered per department procedures.
