About the Role
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing prompt, friendly and efficient service to our guests while delivering food & beverage in support of banquet operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
- Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
- Completes all setup and closing duties in a timely fashion
- Adheres to food and beverage policies and procedures and state liquor laws
- Relays all guest compliment / complaints to appropriate supervisor
- Observes diners to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal is completed
- Set up and break down of scheduled events with proper handling and storage of china, glass, flatware, linen and any other related product and / or equipment
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
Essential Functions
Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areaMust be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hoursRequirements
Prior experience as an event server or high-volume restaurant serverStrong guest service skills; including ability to converse with guestsPositive, personable, and outwardly friendlyAbility to perform role in a in a busy, high volume work environmentEndure various physical movements throughout the shift; including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of timeThe ability to effectively communicate in EnglishMust be able to lift / push / pull 50lbsBenefits
