What You'll Do : Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation and communication protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, remaining alert to conditions or situations that may require security-related intervention. Assist in access control by verifying credentials and helping to help deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas. Support emergency response activities, following established protocols to help protect people and property, and report incidents to the appropriate personnel. Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management, including hazards found on site. Maintain a visible presence to help deter criminal activity and foster a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets at the location. Minimum Requirements : At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
